As Jayne Amico mentioned a while back, there was a report of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird from Montgomery, MA, in the Connecticut River valley, on 4/12, and now there is one from Bantam CT on 4/14. These early birds seem to be arriving along with this major nor'easter---maybe helped along by the high winds? So, strange as it may seem in the midst of this storm, I've now got my hum feeder out!
