Dear members. We are in a near dire need for a Volunteer Coordinator to help assign tasks for the upcoming Salida Classic 3 day race. July 17-19. This is the club's biggest source of income for the year. Without this race we would be unable to continue supporting Chaffee County Mentors, The AADA Crest Crank Ride, the high school mountain bike team, lights for kids bikes and so on. The race director is getting inquiries for volunteer opportunities. We need some one to step up and take on this very important role. As a Board we have designated this as a paid position for this year. The VC will also need to assign a food coordinator to take care of volunteer bag lunches on Fri and Sunday. Consider recruiting a group of your friends to help you and lighten the load. Then you could take them all out for a nice dinner later. 😊 Please respond ASAP.
