FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Spooky Halloween Fun For All Ages!

October 6, 2011 Tacoma, WA-  Tacoma City Ballet (TCB) is delighted to host
their 3rd annual production of The Haunted Theatre: Backstage Tour and Eerie
Dances. In 2009 TCB decided it was high time that children in our community
had a fun Halloween activity aside from trick-or-treating or too-scary
haunted houses. The transformation of their huge space in the Merlino Arts
Center into a world of Halloween scenes and the display of several themed
dances was a huge success, with a majority of shows selling out. With
countless requests from audience members to repeat the event in 2010, TCB
decided to make the show an annual Halloween tradition.  Now in its third
year, Haunted Theatre has become a community favorite: "We had such a nice
time at The Haunted Theatre. the performance is so well done and the
costuming in amazing.  I love that venue. - what a treat!" - Gayle G.

This year, attendees can expect an intriguing tour through the decorated
rooms while hearing fun Halloween facts and stories. After the short tour,
an enchanting performance of dances will be held in the grand Jan Collum
Ballroom. Each hour-long, kid-friendly production features Enchanted
Marionettes, Miniature Monsters, and Mummified Cats along with dancing
Witches, Ghosts, Pumpkins & Skeletons.  Audience members are encouraged to
wear their own Halloween costumes to join in the fun.

The Haunted Theatre opens October 22nd and runs Friday to Sunday through
October 30th. Tickets are just $5 per person and are available from Tacoma
City Ballet either online at http:/tacomacityballet.com/blog
http://tacomacityballet.com/blog , in person at the TCB office, or by
calling 253.272.4219.

TCB is focused on creating opportunities for the local community to access
various performing and visual arts by holding classes and hosting high
caliber events in their own spectacular facility in downtown Tacoma: 508 6th
Ave. Tacoma, WA 98402. For further information, contact Leah Taff at
