Hi All, The Monarch Mountain Stage Finish of the USA Pro Challenge is coming to Chaffee County on August 20th! The race will be coming over Monarch Pass, making two loops through Salida and heading back up the pass for the first ever mountain top finish in the history of the race. Help us make this finish a reality by supporting us with a sponsorship! As a host community we are required to provide and pay for certain aspects of hosting the finish, including paying for hotel rooms for the media and some of the race staff, paying for meals for the racers after they finish, and providing a festival at the finish line. For the festival we'll need entertainment, security, porta-potties and other infrastructure necessary to host approximately 3-5,000 spectators. We have a budget of $125,000 that we are trying to meet through city and county funds, business sponsorships and reaching out to the public. Our group (all volunteers) thinks that this is an amazing opportunity to showcase Chaffee County and our beautiful valley to the world, and we're hoping the community feels the same way!
