Hello all:
During docktails the other night;
Subject came up as to what are the top 5 apps for cruisers to use with I
phones.
Consensus was weather should be #1
I asked which weather?
8 -10 different answers were given.
So the question to the group is:
What are the 5 top apps that East Coast cruisers should use on the I phone?
As always thanks in advance for your knowledge.

Jim,
My iPhone is a great tool for boating, but most of my tools are not
apps...they are simply bookmarks in the homescreen, but look just like apps
and you name them whatever you want. For those who do not know how to do
this, here is a good tutorial:

For instance, I have homescreen bookmarks for the Chesapeake such as:
Thomas Point Light

Northern Bay Marine
Forecasthttp://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fmtbltn.pl?file=forecasts/marine/coastal/an/anz532.txt
For apps, I use
iNavXhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/inavx-marine-navigation/id286616280?mt=8for
navigation. I love Boat
Beaconhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/boat-beacon-ais-marine-navigation/id494877039?mt=8for
monitoring AIS all over the world. And I use a simple speedometer app
that displays knots, of which there are many.
It is terrific to have all this info at your fingertips!
Thanks,
Bob
