Weather: morning rains replaced by overcast skies with intermittent sunshine; BP
falling; 21C; TUV=1
Raptor Observations: It took 2 hours for migrants to come through in numbers; meanwhile we were
ensconsed with a resident juvenile MERLIN which came right through us on
the platform, landing to perch in a nearby tree for photographing!!!
This was a big N.Harrier day (see table)
An adult Bald Eagle slowly flew through at 1115EST
Non-raptor Observations:
Between 8am and 10amEST many warblers came in to literally jump around in a
nearby alder --N.PARULA, WILSON'S, YELLOW-RUMPED, AM.REDSTART,
CHESTNUT-SIDED, PALM; 70+ Am.pipits; 1 Chimney Swift; Wilson's Snipe.
Greater Yellowlegs; 20+ migrating C.Loons.
The "wetlands" are becoming mudflats-- 4 Great Egrets and many Great
Blue Herons fly about, but few land.
