Here is a link to a National Audubon Society petition which is against
allowing wind farms to operate for the next 30 years without having to face
any prosecution for killing any eagles. If you can sign this, the names all
go to Secretary of The Interior, Sally Jewell.

Sally Jewell started out as a petroleum engineer for one of the big oil
companies and then worked for years as a commercial banker, where she
worked with energy companies. . She followed that with a stint as the CEO
of REI- the outdoor recreational products company. She is another Obama
appointee.

Done!  Thanks, Charlie.  I know the Bald Eagle recovery has caused problems
for other native species (Great Cormorants and Puffins in Maine, per Steve
Kress) but this is ridiculous.  What about the technology that has
vane-less wind collectors such as that crazy fan I see advertised on TV?
Is there anything to that?  There has to be a better way to do this than
the wholesale slaughter of birds.

Thank You Charlie, that is a little better. I am glad the Audubon
Society is getting involved. But I am not so sure this will do
much....sending a petition to someone appointed by the one who's
administration is allowing this to happen in the first place seems
like we are rowing against a strong tide without any oars! But if
that's all we have for now.....
