Job Carr Cabin Museum is hosting the Tacoma Fiber Fling on Saturday, October 1. This community event showcases local fiber arts, handicrafts, and textiles with arts activities for all ages. *Tacoma Fiber Fling* *Saturday, October 1, 2022* 10am-2pm Tacoma’s Old Town Park (2350 N 30th St) We are looking for community groups and local artists who would like to have an information/demonstration/activity booth at this event. Booths could feature spinning wheels, looms, fabric dyes, quilting, knitting, sewing, crochet, needlework, felting, basket weaving, etc. Examples could include a knitting circle working on their latest projects, a quilter displaying their creations, or a weaver demonstrating the techniques they use. There is no fee to participate. **Please note that this event is not designed for vendors, but to share your craft, promote your organizations, and inspire others to learn more.* The free event will also include live music and the Museum will provide a variety of all-ages activity stations, such as learn to sew a button, design a 9-patch quilt, and finger knitting.
