FOR SALE        KROGEN 42 WIDEBODY
COMMISSIONED JUNE 1998        Hull no 200

Moby Dick of Guernsey

Vessel lying East Coast Florida, at Northside Marina Stuart
The Krogen  warranty is valid until the beginning of June, and we believe
the John Deere warranty may
be extended to five years for a reasonable fee subject to this being done
prior to June 1999
LOA 42,LWL 39,Draft 47,Beam 15

There is the opportunity to obtain one of the very last of this popular
quality trawler(no longer
produced) due to the change in plans of the existing owners, and their
decision to move to a larger
vessel, the boat was commissioned by Whiticar Boat Works in Stuart Florida,
being one of the old
established builders of top of the range custom  yachts.
The boat has many of the manufacturers extras, in fact it probably has them
all. It has been equipped to
very high standards and all the shakedown problems associated with any new
boat resolved, the existing
owners have covered around 5000 nautical miles the engine has around 600
hrs and the generator 300
hrs, the boat was last painted below the waterline in December 1998, the
owners confidently maintain
that this boat is in better than new condition
Price negotiable dependent upon response and ability to close without
problems, probably around
$575,000 net, the owners doubt if this boat could be built and equipped to
this level for under 675,000,
a comparible new 42 Grandbanks would be around $800,0000 to a similar
specification. Whilst we
would like to sell, we are under no pressure so to do, the boat is British
Registered and Documented
and has no liens or loans on it, the closing of the sale and documentation
would probably be in the
Bahamas, where the boat has cruised extensively and to where, it is
proposed to return at the end of
April. The vessel could be immediately available.
