Dear Listes,
Some time ago there was info re excellent fittings for after fitting a conection to a holding tank. A hole was drilled in the tank and filled with a rubber insert and then the pipe. Apparently there are numbeous sizes one can purchase. I thought I saved it in my favorites but can not now find info. I need to replace the macerator and would like to mount it on top of tank where it is easy to reach and so "stuff" will not flow out if work on it has to be done in the fuure. Jabsco has a self priming pump that with a head of 4-5 feet. My tank is less than 2 feet tall so should be within specs. Pump now is at bottom of tank.
Any problems with macerator on top?
Supplier infofor the above fittings greatly appreciated.

I have had problems with no lift for my Jabsco macerator mounted at the top
of a 34" tank. When new, and for several years after, no problem, then
issues. Fitted a 'kit and fixed the problem for a year, then more. Replaced
with new (same) pump, problem fixed.
I think the issue is when the pump is not used for a long period, air leaks
(no fluid leaks) prevent the lift. I have used grease to prime it but this
does not always work. I think the air leak is from the motor end.
I designed this with the macer on top for obvious reasons. I still think
this was a good choice but taking the pump apart for any reason is a pain.
