Emergency tiller

I have redesigned my emergency tiller on my N55 to make it much more
robust and so it can be rigged with two handy billy type rigs through
both cockpit hawse holes. I can now cleat it in any steering angle. The
tiller has been extended and is now broken down into two components, and
the connector to the rudder shaft now fits snuggly and is bolted on for
security and strength, instead of flapping around in the breeze
If you would like some pics please write to me on petershepp@gmail.com
and I will send them off.
I tried to steer using it one day before the modifications in enclosed
and benign waters, and broke out in a cold sweat thinking about needing
it out in the big stuff with a following sea.
