Over the past couple of months I've received several emails from people asking about the ctbirdatlas web site and thought a general announcement might be helpful.
Over the summer, we shut down the site that we used while field work was being conducted as it was out of date and quite expensive to pay for. We are in the process of transitioning to a new "Birds of Connecticut" site, which will be hostedby UConn (and so not subject to monthly fees) where all the data will be presented.
We don’t ownthe previous url anymore, and I understand that when people try to access it, they find that it redirects to something unrelated to the atlas (a restaurant someone told me). If you manage a web site that contains a link to the old site, I would suggest breaking the link and replacing it with this placeholder site: https://elphick.lab.uconn.edu/connecticut-bird-atlas/
I will provide more information about the new site, including a preview of what it will contain, in my talk at the COA meeting next month.
Thanks,
Chris
