Hello,
I've just downloaded OpenSCAD version 2013.06 x64 win, it looks good so far
apart from I can't seem to get colors to show up on the model. Tried names
and numbers. Any ideas?

Why would you download that ancient version?
Check http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html for the latest release which
is 2015.03-2...

...but even with that latest version, colors only work in preview mode
(F5) but not when rendering the final model (with F6).

That was the first one that I could find in the downloads folder....

I just saved the document and colors magically appeared
