On Sep.25 a busload of 45 CLOCA-sponsored visitors came to the platform to drink in the organized activity at the viewing platform.
Both days were very slow. But Sep.26 highlights were a low-flying BALD EAGLE and 2 PEREGRINE FALCONS. We have a resident TRUMPETER SWAN which is very aggressive towards Canada Geese--he puts on a show selecting and weeding out one goose, hence chasing and nipping at it as he courses around the wetland.

Non-raptors- warblers-- c.yellowthroat, magnolia, yellow-rumped, black-throated green; white-breasted nuthatch, ruby-crowned kinglet, golden-crowned kinglet, killdeer, few hummingbirds, rose-breasted grosbeak, many blue jays, n.flicker, belted kingfisher, lesser yellowlegs
From the 401 eastbound, exit at Salem Rd. in Ajax, south to Bayly, the east through Lakeridge Rd. to the first street beyond-Hall's Rd.--south toward the lake to the second roadside parking area. From the 401 westbound--exit at Brock St. in Whitby, south to Victoria St., west right through to Hall's Rd.
