As we gathered last night for a 6:30 p.m. start the outlook was bleak -- actually glassy, there was virtually no wind. The RC announced a postponement at the scheduled start time. A few minutes later the wind came up from the south, the RC quickly re positioned the committee boat, and we started racing -- Course 12, with three boats in the Spinnaker division, and six boats in Non-Spinnaker. A bit chilly by the time we got off the course.

Thanks to the RC who arranged the great conditions for our first 2019 Wednesday (Rinehart, Azar, Schept), and also to Launch Captain Feldberg, who did a great job with a Tin Boat getting us to and from our moorings.

I'm pleased to report that when I scored this race (my first as the new Cruising Fleet Scorer), I found that I'd taken first place in my division.
