and composer, has written several "Global Concertos" to showcase the
guest soloist’s instrument and tradition. B’shnorkestra, conducted by
Joshua Kohl

perform 3 of these new works for /Classical Tuesdays/.
The concertos feature Thione Diop http://thionediop.com/ on West
African talking drum, North Indian vocalist Srivani Jade
http://www.srivanijade.com/ and Thomas Marriott
http://thomasmarriott.net/, American jazz trumpet.
Thione Diop, widely recognized for his powerfully expressive Djembe
performances, is descended from an ancestral line of Griot drummers. He
performed his Senegalese drums for /Classical Tuesdays/ in Old Town Park
in September 2013

Srivani Jade grew up performing on stage and radio in India and now
performs Hindustani Gayaki in both North America and India; she first
performed for /Classical Tuesdays/ in October 2008.

Thomas Marriott is highly regarded for his tone and improvisations and
has toured world-wide. He performed for Earshot Jazz Festival

October 24 for Earshot Jazz.
