Bob mentions that the NetRS logs data to a standard Compact Flash (CF)
card, which can be replaced if necessary. This is true. However my
recommendation would be, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. To replace the CF
card, you need to remove the front or back panels from the "shell". This is
not simple. It is extremely easy to break a fragile RF connector in a way
that is not easily repairable.
I had a NetRS whose external frequency input did not work. I tried to take
it apart to see what was wrong. I broke the RF input connector in the
process of taking it apart. I eventually discovered that the external
frequency connector had been broken the same way, probably during a
previous "repair". That unit is now only useful for photography.
I'm a pretty good tech with a pretty good lab, and I was being careful. If
your NetRS is working, preserve the CF card by logging to external memory,
and don't try to replace it unless it quits working (or unless you're sure
you're a better tech than I am). Word to the wise.
Cheers!

Hi
I swap out the CF cards on the NetRS pretty much as soon as they show
up. I had three of them die and that convinced me that waiting was not an
option. I’ve never had an issue with any of the connectors breaking in the
process. I’m by no means some sort of super tech ……
