10/09/14 - Woodbridge, Woodbridge Community Gardens -- Lincoln's
Sparrow.

10/09/14 - Greenwich -- While working downtown outside the Bruce
Museum, two Common Ravens flying right over the museum.

10/09/14 - Milford, Jonathan Law High School pond -- 11:30 AM;
Eurasian Wigeon.

10/09/14 - Waterford, yard -- female Purple Finch at feeder.

10/09/14 - Enfield, yard -- Three Purple Finches at my feeder in the
morning.

10/09/14 - Farmington, Farmington meadows -- DICKCISSEL, 7 sps of
sparrows including 3 Lincoln's and 1 White-crowned; most numerous by
far was c 170 Savannah Sparrows. This can be a good warbler spot but
not this AM, just small numbers of the 3 most expected sps. Also 15
PINE SISKINS and 5 PURPLE FINCHES.

the yard headed west.

Shovelers, 1 hen Northern Pintail.

10/09/14 - Litchfield County, E. St. S. and Reservoir Rd intersection
-- 1 White-crowned Sparrow, 1 Lincoln's Sparrow.

10/09/14 - New Milford, yard -- 4 PURPLE FINCHES (1M, 3 F/I).

10/09/14 - Salisbury, Twin Lakes -- At Beaver pond dirt Rd north,
counted 12 Purple Finch, 1 Lincoln's Sparrow.

10/09/14 - Sterling yard -- SWAINSON'S THRUSH (nocturnal flight call),
PURPLE FINCH (4), flyover PINE SISKIN (2).

10/09/14 - Stamford, Cove Island Wildlife Sanctuary -- Yellow-breasted
Chat, American Pipit, Rusty Blackbird, 18 Pine Siskins.

10/09/14 - Derby, Osbornedale State Park -- 1 Northern Bobwhite
(assumed to be released).

From Annie Perko with 3 other sibling birders:
10/09/14 - Colchester -- numerous PURPLE FINCHES at feeders, both
front yard and back as well as across street at neighbor's front yard.
We counted at least 2 MALE and 23 FEMALE Purple Finches.

SISKINS, at least one PURPLE FINCH.
