Visitors:
The Christels visted on thir annual pilgrimage from Columbus, Ohio as did a
few locals.
Weather:
Mainly sunny early with increasing cloudiness late in the morning and
overcast in the afternoon. Moderate West winds and cool with temps 9-13C.
Raptor Observations:
A good run of Kestrel and Sharp-shinned today with a smattering of
Harriers, Red-tailed and Bald Eagles.
Non-raptor Observations:
1800 Blue Jays and more than 500 Tree Swallows dominated the passerine
movement. Some of the other birds observed included the usual dabbling
ducks, 5 Common Snipe, Killdeer, B-C Chickadees, Goldfinches, Chimney
Swifts and White-throated Sparrows.
Predictions:
Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of showers all day. Winds variable from
SSE-W in the morning becoming Northerly in the afternoon. Temps from 8 to
12 C.
