Observation end time: 12:30:00
Total observation time: 4.5 hours
Official Counter: Chris Burris
Observers: Ronnie Goodhand
Weather:
A sunny, cold start, with clouds increasing during the count period. Temp
ranged from -2C to 3C. Wind was a moderate ENE during the span.
Raptor Observations:
A few kettles of mostly buteos filtered through by mid-day, but most birds
were vary high, consistent with the eastern tailwinds. Countable
Red-taileds hit triple digits, along with a handful of Red-shouldereds and
a single dark morph Rough-legged. One more American Goshawk lumbered
through at medium height with buteos not far off.
Non-raptor Observations:
Common Raven and Northern Flicker were the most notable non-raptors. eBird
list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S154885684
Predictions:
Rain and southeast winds suggest that you'd best give yourself a day off on
Tuesday.
