CORRECTION TO DATE ON SAN ANTONIO SPRING WORKSHOP!!

Hi, all,

I sent out an e-mail reminder of the spring workshops the other day, and announced a change to the Sugarland workshop--and somehow, most unfortunately, managed to mistakenly change the date on the San Antonio workshop, as well. The date for the San Antonio workshop HAS NOT CHANGED!!! It is still MARCH 3! It will be a great workshop, with the always-wonderful Teresa Tattersall presenting--so please check it out and go to the Region 20 website to register.

I'm going to post the full list of workshops one more time here, and I promise, I've triple-checked the dates so all are correct! I'm so sorry for the confusion.

Central Texas, Big Country, Gulf Coast, and South Texas regions. Please see
below--dates, locations, and topics are listed. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE "PLANNING
FOR PROFICIENCY" WORKSHOP PLANNED FOR SUGARLAND HAS HAD A DATE CHANGE--INSTEAD
OF MARCH 3, IT WILL BE OFFERED ON SATURDAY, APRIL 7. THE UNIT DESIGN WORKSHOP IN SAN ANTONIO
IS STILL ON MARCH 3.

Registration for the Sugarland workshop is through TFLA; all others will
register through the appropriate Regional Service Center. Please go to the TFLA
website for more details: www.tfla.info

Fri., Feb. 23: "Starting the Path to Proficiency: Integrating the New TEKS in
LOTE Classrooms," held at Region 12, Waco, presented by Nella Spurlin.
Registration through Region 12.

Fri., March 2: "The Language Factor: Developing a World Language Classroom that
Successfully Fosters Students' Proficiency and Performance," held at Region 9,
Wichita Falls, presented by Karla O'Donald. Registration through Region 9.

Sat., March 3: "Planning for Proficiency: Unit Design--Developing Proficiency
Units that Incorporate the New TEKS," held at Region 20, San Antonio, presented
by Teresa Tattersall. Registration through Region 20.

Fri., March 23: "Unit Design for Language Proficiency in the LOTE Classroom,"
held at Region 12, Waco, presented by Nella Spurlin. Registration through Region
12.

Sat., April 7: "Planning for Proficiency: Unit Design for the LOTE Classroom,"
held at First Colony Middle School in Sugarland, presented by Brittany Lindsey.
Registration through TFLA.
