Julian,
What a gorgeous photo!  Alas, mine came nowhere near as perfect as yours.
My eyes were frozen and unable to focus well after nearly 3 hours of looking
for the tanager.  How nice it was for the bird to show itself after the sun came
out giving wonderful views.

Great birding all!

This bird has been elusive and hard to photograph, but Julian Hough got a few good images Sunday afternoon. He's posted one on the SurfBirds Web site. When you get to the Web site (just Google SurfBirds) go to the North American Stop Press photo gallery. If you scroll down farther you'll find Mark Szantyr's Oregon Junco that's been visiting his feeder (plus all kinds of interesting stuff from around the county and, in other galleries, around the world).
