THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (MAY 2-8)!

It's warming up, so you all know what that means... Open Water Swim season
is upon us!  Between this week and next week club sponsor Mid-Atlantic
Multisport kicks off their OWS series (Wednesday 5/4), club sponsor French
Creek Racing continues their open water swims and will start their OWS race
series (Tuesday 5/10), club sponsor Steelman Racing conducts the Off Road
Endurance Festival that includes a couple of options with an OWS (Saturday
5/14-Sunday 5/15), and our first Blue Marsh OWS is being planned (and could
be as soon as next Saturday if there is enough interest)!  So get your
wetsuits and swim buoys ready because it's time to jump in with both feet!

Weekly Workouts and Events: All of the following take place over the next 7
days (reminder #1: Monday and Wednesday evening swims now start and end 5
minutes later than they have in the past so 7:05pm start time and 8:05pm
end time; reminder #2: Tuesday and Thursday evening bike rides now begin at
6:30pm; this will last through July)...

• Monday 5/2, 6pm: Run workout coached by Karen Dunn. Watch for an event
post with details.

• Monday 5/2, 7:05pm-8:05pm, Spring Valley YMCA Indoor Lap Pool (lanes
1-4): Swim workout coached by Don Mack

• Tuesday 5/3, 10:15am-11:15am, Spring Valley YMCA Indoor Lap Pool (lanes
5-6): Swim workout coached by Don Schlichtmann

• Tuesday 5/3, 6:30pm-8pm, Reynold's Dog Park/SRT: Cycling Workout -
Intervals coached by Ginny Angus. Please plan to arrive early enough to be
ready for a prompt 6:30pm departure; if you arrive late you can meet us at
our intervals location between the SRT's Pawlings Rd. trailhead and the
Betzwood Trailhead.

• Wednesday 5/4 (Happy Star Wars Day!), 5pm-7pm: Mid-Atlantic Multisport

• Thursday 5/5 (Happy Cinco de Mayo!), 10:15am-11:15am, Spring Valley YMCA
Indoor Lap Pool (lanes 5-6): Swim workout coached by Don Schlichtmann

• Thursday 5/5, 6:30pm-8pm, Reynold's Dog Park/SRT: Cycling Workout - Out
and Back coached by Ginny Angus. Please plan to arrive early enough to be
ready for a prompt 6:30pm departure.

• Saturday 5/7, 8:30am (tentative): Blue Marsh OWS / Bike Ride #1.  This
will only take place if interest level is high enough (at least 4 swimmers
and at least 4 riders) and if the weather cooperates.  See the poll posted
under "Announcements"/"Featured" on Sunday 5/1 to post your vote.  You can
participate in only the swim, only the bike, or both.

• Sunday 5/8 (Happy Mother's Day!), 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA,
Indoor Lap Pool (lanes 3-6): Uncoached group swim workout
