Seems I woke everyone up with my use of the European name Buff-bellied Pipit for American Pipit. Since this bird occurs in Asia (race japonicus) it is known in the old world as Buff-bellied Pipit..that is the name i've always used.... guess old habits die hard.. don't worry, nobody missed a tick!
