Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well.  Tina Rollins, Hampton University (VA), shares the following survey request detailed below.

Respectfully,

Sandra

Good morning!

The VALLA Taskforce is assessing the current design and implementation of the Virginia Library Leadership Academy in an effort to make recommendations and improvements for the future of the leadership academy. If you don't know what VALLA is, that's ok! Here's a brief description:

Currently, the Virginia Library Leadership Academy (VALLA) is an immersive experience to support and grow future library leaders of all types of libraries. Past graduates of VALLA include library directors, administrators and managers, VLA officers, and many conference speakers. VALLA covers relevant leadership and project management topics. Traditionally, VALLA included a multi-day in-person workshop, followed by a post-workshop project to be completed over the course of the following 12 months.

We are looking for a broad range of perspectives from library staff at all levels and also from various types of libraries (school, public, academic, and special). You will find a brief survey at this linkhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VALLA. It should take approximately 6 minutes to complete. In appreciation for taking the time to provide feedback, you will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for one of fifteen $25 gift cards. To enter, please include your name and email address at the end of the survey. This information will be removed from the aggregated data when the survey is analyzed.

Feel free to share with anyone in your library network! Thank you in advance for your participation.

Sincerely,

The VALLA Task Force

Dr. Jennifer Brown, Augusta County Library Director

Zach Elder, 2nd Vice President, Virginia Library Association

Kendra Hawkins, Coordinator of Library Services - TCC

Margaret Howard, Branch Manager, Chesterfield Public Library

Tina Rollins, William R and Norman B Library Director - Hampton University

Clint S. Rudy, Suffolk Public Library Director
