10/09/13 - Rocky Neck. marsh -- American Golden Plover

From Lynn James:
10/08/13 - New Have, Lighthouse Point Park -- 1 Northern Goshawk,  9
Peregrine Falcons.

We had a total of 331 raptors today. Highlights were:
1 Northern Goshawk  13 Bald Eagles  43 Broad-winged Hawks  9 Peregrine
Falcons
 
Other birds seen or heard:
5 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers  14 Double-crested Cormorant  2 Common
Loons  800+ Blue Jays  20 Canada Geese 
500+ Tree Swallows  67 Red-winged Blackbirds  2 Great Blue Heron  7
Purple Finch  10 American  Goldfinch  136 Cedar Waxwing  135 American
Robins  230 House Finch
Robin and I thank everyone who showed up to help. The extra eyes were
appreciated!

10/08/13 - Rocky Neck State Park, In the marsh, from the viewing
platform -- 10 AM; 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER.

10/08/13 - East Granby, East Granby Farms -- around 8:45 AM; I had a
great look at an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER that was moving through the
wetlands with 2­3 PALM WARBLERS.

10/08/13 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- 2 White Crowned Sparrows.

From Stephen Spector:
10/08/13 - Milford, Milford Point -- in spartina at beginning of
Francis St spit, 6 Nelson's Sparrows in one binocular view.

10/08/13 - Bolton backyard -- 7:15 to 8:15 AM; LINCOLN'S SPARROW.

10/08/13 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park -- Snow Goose on ground by
bath house.

10/07/13 - Windsor Locks, Spring Park -- 2 Tennessee Warblers.
Broad Brook(?), Mill Pond -- 2 Solitary Sandpipers.

10/07/13 - Meriden, Bishop's pond -- 1 hen Northern Shoveler.
Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 2 Pectoral Sandpipers in nature
center parking lot hunkered down out of the wind. Close views.

10/07/13 - Norwalk -- Three Common Ravens calling and flying together
above my neighborhood.
