BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators on two wheels or two feet this weekend!

It's opening weekend for baseball and we'll be celebrating by swinging for
the fences with an early season club ride, our 2nd annual "KO to KC Ride",
which includes a 50+ mile out and back ride from Kristen's bench and tree
to club cycling sponsor Keswick Cycle's University City shop!  And we'll
follow the ride with a club social, open to all Gators whether you are
riding or not, at Fitzwater Station, with an expected meeting time of
approximately 1:30pm-2pm (see additional details below).  Besides that we
have a sponsor event "down the shore" and a couple of NYC half marathoners!

We'd also like to recognize Don Morrison, formerly of club running sponsor
Chester County Running Store, for his outstanding long-term support of the
club as one of our founding sponsors.  Don will still be racing, so you can
expect to see him on the course at upcoming triathlons and duathlons.  And
if you have any trouble locating him, he can often be found at the top of
the podium.  Our relationship with Chester County Running Store as our
club's lead running sponsor will continue.  Best wishes, Don, as your
amazing adventures continue!

Weekend Workouts: We have one planned club workout...

• Saturday, April 9: Due to Sunday's "KO to KC Ride", we are NOT offering a
Saturday workout.  If you have one planned and would like company, please

Uncoached group swim workout

Weekend Events: We have 14 Gators in action in 2 events plus a club sponsor
event...

Saturday, April 9:

• SPONSOR EVENT: MudHen Brewing Co. IPA 5K and Beer Mile (Wildwood, NJ):

Sunday, April 10:

• SHAPE+Health Women's Half Marathon (Central Park, New York): Susan Flavin
returns to her regular stomping grounds and she's bringing a friend as
Diane Lynch will be joining her for the 13.1 mile run!  Go Susan and Diane!

• CLUB EVENT: KO to KC Ride (9am start; Reynold's Dog Park/Longford Park,
Phoenixville): We'll start at Kristen's bench and tree, travel down the SRT
to Keswick Cycle's University City shop, stop there for a brief visit, and
then turn around and head back.  If you are not yet ready for a 50+ mile
ride, you can optionally join us for the first part (turn back at your
leisure), the middle part (Rachel Truckley will be jumping in at Manayunk),
or the end (start a late ride from the dog park, maybe around 11am, and
catch us on the way back).  At last count there were 12 on our riders list
including Warren Anders, Dre Barber, Jill Basile, Jon Crosby, Gleb
Epelbaum, Keith Ho, Maureen Hoffman, Don Mack, David Stone, Jens Sydor,
Rachel Truckley, and Randell Torres.  If you'd like to join us for part or
all of the ride, please indicate "Going" on the event and/or post a comment
below (and indicate whether you are in for the full ride or a part of it).

• POST RIDE SOCIAL: Fitzwater Station (Phoenixville): We will head directly
from the end of the ride to nearby Fitzwater Station for a club social that
we expect to start in the 1:30pm-2pm timeframe.  Whether you ride or not
you are welcome to join us... If you do plan to go and are not riding,
please post a comment below or in the event (so that we can get an accurate
headcount and communicate with you if our ride time will have us arriving
at Fitzwater at a different time).  Here's a link to the event...
