The Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University invites applications for an open-ranked (senior or junior) position in Medieval Chinese Literature (Six Dynasties through Song). The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Ph.D. must be in hand or expected by September 1, 2015.

For full consideration, please provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a writing sample (e.g., a dissertation chapter). Junior applicants should also solicit three letters of recommendation. Recommenders should mail their letters directly to Medieval Chinese Literature Search Committee, Department of East Asian Studies, Princeton University, 211 Jones Hall, Princeton, NJ 08544. Senior applicants should not submit letters of reference at this time.

Review of applications will begin on September 1, 2014, and will continue until the position is filled.
