SLAVNA MUZYKA MUSIC OF EASTERN EUROPE Destiny City Music Collective and Center for Spiritual Living present a free concert on Sunday, Nov 17 at 2 PM at CSL, 106 N I St. Admission is free, donations gladly accepted. Jan Petrychka(Ukrainian folk instrument Bandura, Vocals) is a multi instrumentalist that has been playing and performing Ukrainian music since 1996. Jan completed a master/apprentice grant from Washington State Arts Commision on Ukrainian Bandura in 1994 studying with master Bandurist Alex Krynytsky. Ken Jacobsen(Guitar, Cello) is a Composer, instructor and performer and Executive Director of Destiny City Music Collective, a 501c3 dedicated to music educations and performance. Jan will be performing Ukrainian folk songs and Ken will be playing some well known music by 19th and 20thcentury composers who were influenced by music of Eastern Europe and Russia, including Stravinsky, Scriabin, Kabalevsky and Mussorgsky.
