Paige,

I think you have hit the crust of the matter!  I don't necessary want any of
the
hairy stuff in my med kit, but I do want something to prevent shock and
pain,
and have no problem "controlling it" and ensuring its use for intended
purpose.
Better safe than sorry, I believe.

I have seen too many people lost because of both, where there was actually
little unrecoverable damage. I am sure you are familiar with traumatic
injuries
and their results; so am I and in just as intensive situations where we had
to
depend on ourselves to survive.

A solid list of "legal" or OTC drugs would be highly helpful. (I am sure all

the druggies already know how to get the illegal stuff and what constitutes
what!)

Actually a good medical quide for treating such injuries would not be a bad
idea!
