SCC Member, Do you know of anyone (including yourself) who may be interested in a position of leadership in setting the direction of your local cycling club? Salida Cycling Club (SCC) is looking for fresh new faces, and big ideas, for our Board of Directors. We have an immediate need for a new Treasurer, but there are also slots available for general board members, too. As the new President of SCC, I am interested to see SCC forge strong new partnerships via social and educational investment programs with our entire cycling community -- young and old, competitive and recreational, mountain and road, commuter and fitness. The SCC intends to be a cycling club for all of our area’s cyclists, and we need you to help us meet that mission. We have great support from our sponsors, our members, and income from the Salida Classic – our flagship race that is the club’s major annual fundraiser – that can be directed in new and meaningful ways. The SCC Board of Directors are responsible for defining this work by way of programs and investment. We are looking for creative, dynamic, and motivated individuals to help the board with what I believe will be exciting new bicycle related initiatives for the Salida, Colorado area.
