DUTIES:

Serves as an expert in reference and information research in the history and culture of African Americans and related areas and technologies to work with researchers in advanced fields of knowledge using a wide variety of databases.

Supervises the day to day work of professional and technical staff to assure the continued high quality of their performance and the timely completion of projects. Develops fair and consistent performance standards for subordinates and evaluates their performance on a regular basis.

Serves as SIL's Collection Development Officer in the subject areas pertinent to the NMAAHC branch library.
