From Annette Cunniffe w/Meredith Sampson:
09/30/14 - Greenwich, Greenwich Point -- PEREGRINE FALCON,
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, COMMON RAVEN.

From Patrick Comins:
09/30/14 - Southbury, Bent of the River -- I heard a Pine Siskin
flying over in the morning and there were three Purple Finches at the
feeders.

From Larry Bausher:
09/30/14 - Woodbridge, Woodbridge Community Gardens -- 11:00 AM; Brown
Thrasher continues.

From Keith Mueller:
09/30/14 - Guilford, Leetes Marsh -- There was one Western Sandpiper
(long, slightly curved bill) (mixed in the flock of the lingering
Semi-palmated Sandpipers). Also one Pectoral Sandpiper. This was the
sixth Western Sandpiper I have seen at Leetes this August/September.
Looks like the Western hotspot of the late summer!

From Nick Bonomo:
09/30/14 - Stratford, Stratford Pt -- 1 Northern Pintail, 1
White-winged Scoter.
Milford, Milford Pt -- 1 Northern Pintail, 1 juv Black Skimmer.
West Haven, Sandy Pt -- 3 juv American Golden-Plovers, 30 Forster's
Terns (among 150 lingering Common Terns) in the harbor.

From Aaron Dollar:
09/30/14 - Branford -- On the train today, just before 4 PM, I caught
a glimpse of what was likely a tricolored heron. It was on the south
(Sound) side of the tracks between Branford and Guilford centers.
Looking at a map, I believe it was in the marsh near Tilcon Rd in
Branford, where the trolley trail crosses, but could have been a bit
further east.

From Nick Bonomo:
09/29/14 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach SP -- 3 White-winged Scoters.
Guilford, Shell Beach shorebird pools -- juv American Golden-Plover.

From Carolyn Cimino:
09/29/14 - Waterford, yard -- Common Raven.

From Timothy L Thompson:
09/29/14 - Groton, Bluff Point -- 6:30 to 8:10 AM; YELLOW-BREASTED
CHAT in the vicinity of the large, stray, cement pipe section.  Also
SWAINSON'S THRUSH.

From SH Johnston:
09/29/14 - Farmington center, yard -- 9:45 AM; flyover MISSISSIPPI
KITE, heading east to west in the direction of Farmington Meadows.

From Gina Nichol (partially with John Oshlick and Bill Batsford):
09/29/14 - New Haven, East Shore Park -- Adult WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW,
female PURPLE FINCH.

From Patrick Comins:
09/29/14 - Stratford, McKinney NWR, Warehouse Pond -- 19
Yellow-crowned Night-Herons and a Pectoral Sandpiper, visible without
trespassing from the overlook just west of the parking area.

From Chris Elphick:
09/29/14 - Storrs -- Sadly my first Cape May Warbler in Storrs was
brought into the lab by a grad student who found it as the (presumed)
victim of a building strike.

From Russ Smiley:
09/29/14 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- Blue Grosbeak at the
west end beyond lanes before marsh.

From Chris Loscalzo:
09/29/14 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- a large flock of gulls, terns,
and cormorants feeding on a large school of fish (bunker/menhaden?)
just off shore.  There were at least 300 gulls,  250 cormorants, and
100 terns.  Notable species included one Bonaparte's Gull (first
winter bird, with black tail tip, narrow M-shaped pattern on wings,
and black ear patch), and at least 2 Forster's Terns.  It was quite
the spectacle.  The local fishermen were getting in on the action,
with as many as a dozen putting their lines in the water there.

From Greg Hanisek:
09/29/14 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point hawk watch -- 4 COMMON
NIGHTHAWKS, 2 AMERICAN PIPITS, 30 Bobolinks, 7 PURPLE FINCHES, 1 PINE
SISKIN.

From James Hunter:
09/29/14 - Westport, Fairfield County Hunt Club -- 4:15 PM; 30+ Common
Nighthawks actively feeding low over field while field was being
watered.
