7/24  Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center.  9:50-10:50am.
mid-tide, sunny, 78F.
A brief visit to the coastal center -
Many Purple martins flying over the marsh catching insects and bringing
back to the gourds.  Many gourds have multiple little heads peeking out-
several chicks have fledged and several seem ready to fledge. On gourd #2,
female with orange leg band on left leg.
Our ospreys were at the nest and on the perch. The  chicks have fledged.
On the grounds & feeders: 1 Great egret, 2 juvenile Yellow crowned night
herons, about 200 semipalmated sandpipers flying around ( thank you to
George & Ken for help with ID),2 Barn swallows, 1 Tree swallow, about 10
House finches at the feeders, 3 Starlings, 2 Mockingbirds, 2 Cardinals (1
at the water fountain bathing), and 1 Clapper rail heard at edge of lagoon.
