Local birding in Orange

10/14  Orange,
Visited a couple of local birding spots in Orange.
Highlights were :  At Crosby Pond- 1 Northern Pintail in with the mallards
and 4 wood ducks.
At Wrights Pond:  In with about 150 Canada Geese, 2 Canada Geese with
yellow neck bands  HO 16 and HO 10.  HO 16 (female)  was hatched in 2016
or earlier, and banded by Min Huang on June 22, 2017.
HO10 is a male hatched in 2016 or earlier, and banded on 6/22/2017 by Min
Huang.  Both have been seen at Wright's Pond before and other locations in
Orange.
At Lake Wepawaug:- 1 Pied Billed Grebe. At Wepawaug Conservation area
highlight was a very loud calling Kingfisher.
