High tide, sunny, 65F.
Busy with visitors this morning-some who were new to our location.
The water fountain was bustling with Yellow rumped warblers, House finches,
Cardinals-bathing and drinking.
On the grounds and at feeders: Yellow rumped warblers, House sparrows,
House finches, 4 Cardinals, 2 Blue Jays, 2 Carolina Wrens, 1 Eastern
Phoebe, 2 White Breasted nuthatches working the trees, 2 Downy woodpeckers,
2 Northern Flickers foraging on the ground, 6 Mourning doves, 2 Chickadees,
1 Mockingbird, and 1 Eastern Towhee (male) shuffling the leaves under a
tree.
One fawn browsing near front bird feeders.
On the marsh: (viewed with bins & scopes) 1 Northern harrier soaring over,
22 D.C. Cormorants flew over, and then later possibly same group with gulls
(Laughing, ring billed & Herring) fishing in the marsh, 3 Great Blue
herons, 1 Great Egret, 2 Mute swans, and 1 Kingfisher flying over.
