Has anybody ever dealt with Foley Marine And Industrial Engines Inc. in
Worcester MA.  I tried to order overhaul parts for a pair of Perkins Prima M50
Diesel engines. The salesman said I could buy a new engine for $4995 or the
overhaul parts for about $1000, so a new engine was the way to go. I tried to
explain the difference between 4995 and 1000 to him when he called me a "boaty
asshole". and told me I would not be a Foley customer. He would not let me
talk to his supervisor or give me his name. When I called the Tech line I got
the same jerk, he hung up on me. Anybody know about this company?

They are notorious and have received similar reviews on this List. I believe
that this List has noted that a firm in Alabama and two in the Greater
Norfolk area are good to work with and competitive in price. If a Prima is a
recent Perkins/Sabre product, American Diesel will have the parts. There is
a wide variation in price worth exploring.

Bob, welcome to the world of I believe he goes by the moniker of Dr Diesel. I have had a similar occurence, but he never got the chance to call me names, and good thing. I have had to deal with them for not only my marine parts, but we also use the Perkins in some of our construction equipment. His reputation is well earned and known far and wide. There are plenty of other outlets, so we arent subjected to him but once....GEH
