Our Perkins has 4189 hrs on the hour meter and it will burn some oil. I have changed the engine oil here in St. Thomas back to Texaco URSA 15W40, but have not used the engine after the oil change. I expect to get a reduction in oil use down to the original use of 180ml (6oz) or a little more in 24 hrs. I always was under the impression that engine oil brands are alike. The Shell Rimula was blended in Argentina. Could the oil blended in the USA be of higher quality? Benno
