In this fascinating talk, naturalist David Lukas will introduce you to the joyful world of bird song. Explore how and why birds sing, and how we study bird songs as a way of understanding what birds are saying to each other. Bird songs and vocalizations are a huge part of how birds interact with each other, so learning about this topic will open your ears to a new world around you! David Lukas is a naturalist and author based in the Methow Valley. He has written seven books and contributed chapters to another forty books on a tremendous range of nature topics. He has also led thousands of natural history tours, classes, workshops, and presentations. If you manage an apartment complex, volunteer with a neighborhood beautification group, or represent a condo association, your organization is eligible to order trees.
