Has anyone had any experience using SeaTech of Whale tubing and plumbing
fittings?
Regards.

We used the Whale Quick Connect system when we replumbed Maqana. I really
loved it. Things went together easily, changes were easy, and best of all,
no leaks. Well, almost no leaks. We had a single leak, and that was cause
by a fitting that hadn't gotten the rubber o-ring installed at the factory.
The plumbing system has been in for two plus years and I still am quite
pleased with it.
Aside from the ease of initial installation, the real beauty of this system
is how simple it is to make changes. You want to add a new branch off a
line... just cut about an nich of tubing out where you want the tee, push
the cut tubbing ends into the tee, then push your new branch line into the
tee. Your done.
Whale sells / recommends a fancy tubing cutter. I didn't bother it. I used
a standard ratcheting pvc pipe cutter that I already had in my toolbox. As
long as you are careful to cut the tubing squarely, it works just fine. Go
ahead and buy their tubing clips. It is more expensive than using zip-ties
or other tubing clamp systems, but the make mounting the tubing really
easy, and popping tubing loose to make changes is a breeze.
The only down side of this system is that it is so easy to use that people
that have it don't have to call installers like me to make changes. :)
