Hello everyone, 🙂

I am part of an ongoing project for our Library's grand opening this summer. We are working on a contest that invites adults, teens, and children to create a design to be placed on library cards as part of our design collection. The theme will be "What does the library mean to you?" What we have so far is a completed release form to have participants agree that once the design is selected, there will be no compensation of any sort for the future and also agreeing that the design must be an original idea. We also have the rules/guidelines on a flyer document through Canva. (Everything is being planned and created on Canva) There will be an option for participants to complete the form online. Did your library use Docusign to have patrons sign the agreement form? I'm curious to know how online submission portals are created. However, details such as will this be open to the public or only library card holders?. . . What will the prizes be? . . . Deadlines, etc. . . .are still up in the air. I hope some of you can share experiences on public outreach for contests and the outcome of it as well. We do plan on promoting the contest on social media and posting flyers. What were the pros and cons of a library card contest project from your library? What would you have done differently? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
