BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT... ... to all Gators who will be doing what we do! Last night was a great opportunity for many of us to gather, hug, cry, receive some coping tips, and tell stories about our times with Brian. We were very fortunate to have him as an athlete and then also as a coach for the past decade. When we perform in training and racing, much of what he taught us is with us and always will be. The best way we can honor him is to keep using those skills... Keep training and keep racing. If you have an opening in your calendar for Sunday, our partner, David Michener has offered all Gators the opportunity to race in this weekend's Steelman Racing "Open Water Classic" at Lake Nockamixon. You can register with the code BRIANKOZERA. Weekend Workouts: We have one workout on our official training calendar... • Sunday 8/21, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor lap pool: Uncoached group swim workout • Do you want to lead a group bike ride or run? Many of us are training for events of all distances. We highly encourage you to share on our Facebook group any rides or runs (of any length) that you are doing where you'd like some company! Weekend Events: The weekend includes a couple of events plus an "extended weekend" event next Tuesday... Saturday, August 20: • SCU Summer Century (Doylestown, PA): This ride through Bucks County includes distance options of 33, 50, 64, and 100 miles. Susan Flavin and Joe DeNicola switch from running shoes to cycling shoes and take on the 64 mile distance, also known as the Metric Century. Sunday, August 21: • SPONSOR EVENT: Steelman Racing's "Open Water Classic" (Quakertown, PA). This event includes 1, 2, and 3 mile distance options plus a relay. Sara Dansbury and Gleb Epelbaum will be participating in the one mile event. Tuesday, August 23: • SPONSOR EVENT: French Creek Racing' OWS Race #6 (Norristown, PA): This event wraps up the FCR OWS 2022 race series. A handful of Gators are expected to participate including Chris Acosta, Kristie Bruno, Jennifer Gehret, Sheri Kuss, and Don Mack. As Brian would say... "Get it Gator Done! Have fun!
