10/24. Wilcox Park: We spent 20 minutes at the platform near the harbor this morning hawk watching. We saw exactly 0 hawks, but we did see 7 Northern Pintail flying west in formation with 42 Canada Geese. It was quite a contrast in sizes... but the little ducks were holding their own. Didn't someone else report Pintails in with a flock of geese recently? I wonder if it was the sameones? Frank Gallo
Luke Tiller had a couple pintails the other day at Quaker Ridge if I'm
not mistaken.
