A dozen folks were involved in this year's Whippoorwill Trip to Wainfleet,
ON. The group was a mix of newer and experienced birders, and all were able
to hear at least *3 Whippoorwills *(possibly 4) when they began to call
shortly after 9:00 pm.
Birds also present included 2 Black-billed Cuckoos (first heard and seen
by Bruce Hoover prior to the arrival of the group), 1 Common Nighthawk, a
possible Yellow-billed Cuckoo, and a variety of flycatchers, as well as
several warbler species.
