Dear friends and colleagues, Hope your new year is off to a good start! We are pleased to announce some exciting developments for the upcoming AAS conference. This year, our society has proudly sponsored two fantastic panels: 1. "New Developments in Tangut Studies: Reinvigorating an Inner Asian Epitome" (organized by Xiaotian Yin). 2. "Time Passing By: Gender, Temporality, and Writing of Age in Middle and Late Imperial China" (organized by Tianyu Shi). We received a record number of applications for the AAS Panel Support Award this year, reflecting the vibrant interest in our field. We warmly invite you to attend these panels and engage in the insightful discussions that will unfold. In addition, we are introducing a new format for our annual meeting at the AAS conference. This year, join us for a round table discussion on Dr. Christian Lamouroux’s splendid new survey of Song history, *La dynastie des Song: Histoire générale de la Chine (960-1279)*. (Please see the attached poster for details.) Also, we invite you to share announcements with us ahead of the conference so we can present them efficiently during a 10-minute time slot at the meeting.
