Adding on to Chuck’s great idea for CT birders to check out their local community gardens this month, I’d like to remind everyone that these garden areas are a great place to participate in the annual Big Sit, organized by the New Haven Bird Club. The event will be next weekend and the forecast for then is favorable for fall migration. So, get out to your local patch next Saturday or Sunday and see what birds you can find!
