In reply to Susanne Shrader’s post earlier this week. I participate each year in the Cornell’s Feedwatch each Fall / Winter and I had what may be a record for my backyard today with 21+ White-throated sparrows under my feeders.

The usual onslaught of white throats starting in October was missing this year everywhere I have been. We had one last week but none cents. This is a total shock. Does anyone know why this is happening, and has had the same experience?
