Most physians are concerned about mal practice and running afoul of the drug laws. Frankly I had to see the patient first. But I lived in Long Beach CA, and almost everyone who was leaving the West Coast for any long distace trip could easily stop by. The best place to look for an MD who would write the RX would be the yacht club, or another physician who either does long distance sailing races (like the Transpac or Cabo races on West Coast, or Bermuda Race on the East Coast).
