View all threadsDear CollectionSpace community,
I am writing with an update on activities of the Leadership Working Group.
We held our 2nd quarterly meeting for FY2017-18 on December 6th, 2017.
During the meeting, we discussed the topics below.
Membership and Outreach Efforts
We are very happy to report that the CollectionSpace program continues to grow. As of September, there are 17 members across the six membership levels, over thirty implementations, and three active Registered Service Providers.
We were pleased to hear that our session proposal was accepted for the American Alliance of Museums conference to be held in Phoenix, May 2018.

Partnerships
The leadership working group members heard updates about various partnerships including:

Surveys and interviews in December 2017 and January 2018 will gather information about current practices and identify opportunities to leverage collections information technologies in support of public-facing programs and inter-institutional collaborations. The Leadership Working Group will review the results of the information gathered in mid-February.
Our partnership with WESTAF - A draft of the first version of the Public Art Profile for CollectionSpace is under development and will be released along with version 5.0 of the software this winter.
We will be announcing our mini grant recipients by the end of the year.
Operational updates
Technical development for CollectionSpace is on track. Our updated user interface code, due early next year as part of our Version 5.0 release, will result in a faster, cleaner, and more responsive interface. The new framework is well-documented and supported, giving our community developers a much easier path to add new features and functionality to the application.
Regular updates on the UI work are posted to the CollectionSpace blog: https://wiki.collectionspace.org/pages/viewrecentblogposts.action?key=collectionspacehttps://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__wiki.collectionspace.org_pages_viewrecentblogposts.action-3Fkey-3Dcollectionspace&d=DwMFAg&c=WO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ&r=FRClhsB8MoZpzpjl618daRLwTDHzTj-thPNaw2gAkDA&m=9l-mYCI7iqcJvtShQEzwyW81X4SN6JVebZ0sK-k1ibc&s=ZxxY5l6hnO7SL383wQY1Z88IO1F9iOlypkeA5wZ4Wmo&e=

Respectfully,
