We are excited to announce that applications opened Wednesday, April 9th for WSDOT & City of Tacoma e-bike rebates! The application portal will be open through Wednesday, April 23rd at noon.
The application is not first-come first-serve - if you are eligible for rebates and apply before the deadline, you will be included in the random selection. Due to high demand, rebates will be distributed through a raffle system after the application period closes.

How much is the rebate for?
$300 or $1,200 off a new e-bike purchase. If your annual household income* is equal to or lower than the totals below - you qualify for a $1,200 instant rebate. Everyone else qualifies for a $300 instant rebate.

There is a one rebate per household limit, but all members in your household may apply.
Two Programs - One Application
All Tacoma residents age 16+ who provide the required contact information are eligible for WSDOT's WE-Bike statewide instant e-bike rebate program. Some Tacoma residents, based on where they live, are also eligible for the City of Tacoma e-bike rebate pilot program.
The City of Tacoma has worked closely with WSDOT to align our local e-bike rebates with the statewide program, to make applying as simple as possible. There's one application for both programs - just apply once, and you'll be automatically entered into one or both programs based on your eligibility.

The City of Tacoma's E-bike Rebate Pilot Program is funded by Ecology with funding from Washington's Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington's climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
